Detectives in Meru and Embu counties have urged the public to share any information that may help in unveiling criminals who have increased.
This comes after Police arresting four suspected robbers believed to be planning attacks in four counties; Meru, Embu, Kirinyaga and Tharaka Nithi.
In the first operation, two robbery-with-violence suspects identified as Benard Fundi and Risper Wambui were caught in Embu.
“The duo, Benard Fundi and Risper Wambui were arrested within Embu town and crucial exhibits related to various robbery incidents in Kigumo, Runyenjes and Kiritiri recovered,” the Directorate of Criminal Investigations has stated.
According to the (DCI) the ongoing crackdown within the Mount Kenya region also led to the recovery of crude weapons believed to have been used in the crimes, “Crude weapons including machetes, swords and metal cutters were also recovered in a getaway vehicle used by the suspects.”
Similar arrests of two other thugs were made in Meru County yesterday evening.
