Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General and Nairobi Edwin Sifuna has summoned the nine MPs who visited President William Ruto at state house.
He referred to the leaders as ‘dishonest’ and shouldn’t deceive the electorate on the actual agenda that initiated the Statehouse visit. “These statehouse visitors are being dishonest but you already knew that,” he said.
Sifuna further said that no elected leader is required to march to Statehouse to beg for development on behalf of the taxpayers. “As a tax payer you are not required to beg for development. Just like Govt doesn’t call you to statehouse when taxing you, you likewise don’t need a meeting there to get development. It’s your right,” he stated.
The political shifts within the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition are causing the party to sway.
The nine ODM Mps held a meeting with President William Ruto, claiming to abandon Raila for what they termed as his ‘endless politics’.
Even though they haven’t officially joined the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, the leaders will moving forward snub Odinga’s country wide movement and focus on the government agenda.
