Detectives in Nairobi have arrested three women for allegedly attempting to stupefy the drinks of three party animals at an entertainment joint in Kamakis along the Eastern By-Pass.
Detectives say Hellen Wambui, Irene Wairimu and Fidelis Wambui were arrested after a bar manager caught them midway attempting to drug the victims.
The barman reportedly alerted the security officers after he noticed the strange behavior from the victims.“Upon quick search, stupefying tablets were recovered from them,” the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said Monday.
While explaining the order of events that led to the apprehension of the suspects, the DCI said that the suspects had earlier joined the victims at their table before making the move.
“Little did the men know that they had innocently invited a marauding pack of pishori babes whose intentions were not to have fun but to steal from them! As the evening progressed, the ungrateful women laced the drinks with a stupefying substance and began wooing the men whispering that it was about time,” the agency said.
The suspects are currently in custody at the Ruiru police station pending arraignment in court. The incident comes after the DCI lifted lid on the operations of the Pishori Babes syndicate last year.
The Pishori babes’ story was all about rogue women colluding with a wanted gangster Samuel Mugo Muvota who was killed last year and how they spiked men’s drinks in popular joints across the country, in what is locally known as ‘Kuwekewa Pishori.
