If the Kenya Kwanza administration does not address the nation’s economic issue Azimio la Umoja have vowed to gather their supporters and assault Treasury Cabinet Secretary (CS) Prof. Njuguna Ndungu’s office.
The leaders, who were led by ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, criticized the administration for changing deadlines when it comes to putting Ruto’s campaign platform into action, particularly when it came to matters like reducing the high cost of living.
In a statement released on Tuesday and endorsed by Sifuna and five other lawmakers affiliated with the political group, Azimio stated, “We want answers and if they do not arrive in the next few days, we will have no choice but to lead our people into these offices for answers.
We will follow these officers around in search of information rather than cautions.
In a same vein, Azimio criticized Ruto for what they claim is his accusation that Uhuru Kenyatta is to blame for the nation’s dismal economic situation.
Azimio further hinted that the Kwanza administration in Kenya is currently on a spending spree despite having pledged to reduce foreign borrowing when Ruto took office.
The faction stated that Kenyans are being misled and lead about in circles, especially when it comes to the economy, with Azimio adamant that President William Ruto has broken every promise he made during the campaign.
“Kenyans were initially assured that costs will decrease as soon as Ruto put down the Bible after being sworn in.
Kenyans were informed that fertilizers had been delivered because the Bible had been set aside and prices had remained high.
But, prices remained unchanged, “Azimio stated.
